Impact crusher is a secondary type crusher reducing the medium hard material roughly crushed usually by jawbreaker down to asphalt or concrete aggregate dimension easily. Cubical crush process in these breakers is repeated several times by the crash of the impulsive palettes on the rotor to the stone and centrifuge of the breaking rods forming the ceiling of the crusher. Naturally the material breaks in the weak points on its body therefore steady, cubicle shape and stable character product is obtained.

  • Constant cubicle material is obtained even in the event of corroded impulsive palettes and breaking rods.
  • Reduction rate is higher than the other crushers. Approximately 72 % of the material fed can be reduced down to crushed stone size.
  • Impulsive palettes are easy to replace since they are attached to rotor discs through cotters.
  • Heavy rotor performs the role of a balance wheel and protects the bearing from sudden force.

The fact that there is no crushing or compressing process in the breaking principle of impact crushed stones is in cubicle shape. The difference between the stones broken in the impact crusher (Picture A) and the stones broken in other type of crushers (Picture B) can be easily seen. Scientific researches performed display that cubicle material in the motorways is 50 % more endurable to corrosion and it increases the durability in concrete as well.
  • Crushed stones have the same cubicle shape in average, which do not have stressed weak or cracked parts on them.
  • The fact that cubicle material is in angular shape and the surface is rough, it has a high binding characteristics.
Generally in impact crushers it is preferred to return the material on the surface of the screen to the crusher instead of increasing rotor speed in order to obtain high reduction rate. Accordingly it is prevented to have excess dust on the product and high corrosion of the crushing units are prevented.
Below are the technical specifications, dimensions and product dimension distribution curves of three different types of IMPACT CRUSHERS are stated. When the curve is intersected through drawing a horizontal line from the desired material dimension, ratio of the smaller dimensions in the complete material is obtained. For instance, the ratio of the material smaller than 25 mm. obtained from DK15-96 type impact crusher is approximately 67 % of the total material put into the crusher.
All the values given in this table are for medium hard, 1.6 ton/m3 masonry density limestone, this value is the approximate figure, which may differ in accordance with the size, humidity and feeding type of the material provided. In order to get better results, material should be fed to the crusher regularly.
ODY : Body of the crusher is made up of two parts; upper body and lower body. In DK15-96 and DK15-17 type crushers upper body ceiling is covered with breaking rods in reversible nature. In the lower body all walls are strengthened with priming. Breaking rods and priming are manufactured from steel alloy durable to corrosion and is tied to the body with nuts (Picture 1)
ROTOR : Steel casting discs are placed on the processed shafts made up of quality steel. Product Manganese steel cast impulsive palettes are tied to these shafts through cotters (Picture 2) Palettes can easily be reversed when they are corroded.
BEARINGS : Rotor shaft is bedded in self-axis movable roller out of the body. Bearings are protected with special type labyrinth dippers (Picture 3)


  • Bearings are balanced in such a way to minimize vibration.
  • Thanks to the wide maintenance gate, it is easy to access to inside the crusher and corroded parts can be replaced.
  • Crusher is driven through the gray cast iron frame on the rotor bearing gaining  strength from the engine frame through ‘V’ belts.
